Heavy snowfall blocks two highways in Far-west

The Bhimdatta Highway connecting seven hilly districts of the far-western states has been blocked due to heavy snowfall since Thursday night. According to the Area Police Office, Budar, the highway has been blocked due to heavy snowfall since last night. It is said that efforts are being made to remove snow from the highway.

Dozens of vehicles and passengers are now stranded at Gaira and Budar Bazaar after the highway was blocked. Heavy snow has fallen at Sahukharka, Gaira and Hagulte under the highway.

Similarly, Pahalman Singh Swarna Highway connecting Silgadhi of Doti and Safey of Achham has also been blocked due to snowfall. Due to heavy snowfall at the intersection of Doti under the highway, vehicles and passengers traveling from Bajura, Achham to Terai and from Terai to hills have been stranded on the way.
