Tourists on Annapurna footpath increase

Recently, the number of foreign tourists walking on the Annapurna footpath has been increasing. Tourism entrepreneurs are excited after the increase in the number of tourists.

The number of foreign tourists trekking through Lamjung has increased after the Coronavirus and floods. More than 150 tourists trek daily. The tourism sector, which has been languishing for two years due to corona, is gradually deteriorating. Tourists from Israel, Germany, France, Australia, the UK, the USA, and other countries have been coming to Annapurna on foot.

Chief of Annapurna Conservation Area, Manang, Lekhnath Gautam said that the number of domestic tourists visiting Annapurna has been increasing recently. "The activity on the footpath has increased since September," he said. Though it has slowed down due to snowfall in Mangsir and Pus, the activity has started increasing now. The best time to hike is from September to November and from February to April. The Annapurna Footpath is considered one of the 10 best destinations in the world.

From Baneshisahar, Khudi, Bhulbhule, Ngadi, Syage, Jagat, Manang's Bagarchhap, Chame, Thorang Pass, Muktinath, Jomsom, Beni, Ghorepani, Pokhara is reached.
