Inmates are being compelled to face trouble due to protraction in bringing into operation two spacious jails in the district.

DPM Narayan Kaji Shrestha has said the prisons should be developed as the correction centers.

At present, it houses 3,448 jailbirds against its capacity of 1,500, according to the prison administrator Ishwori Prasad Pandey.

He recalled himself having served his term in the prison in the past (one month in 1978, and eight and a half months in 1979).
