1 Trillion revenue raised in January

In the first 6 months of the current financial year, the government has collected 32.71 percent of the target revenue. The highest collection has been done in the month of January.

According to the Comptroller General's Office, 1 trillion 29 billion rupees of revenue has been collected. January is also the month for paying the first installment of income tax. Therefore, more revenue has been raised in January compared to other months. 4 trillion 58 billion 98 crores of revenue has been collected. This year, the government has set a target of collecting 14 trillion 3 billion.

At the beginning of December, 3 trillion 29 billion rupees were collected, and by the end, 4 trillion 58 billion rupees were collected. Out of this, the tax revenue is 4 trillion 5 billion 26 million rupees. Non-tax revenue has been collected at 53.71 billion rupees. In the meantime, the government has earned 4.80 billion rupees from grants and other income is 31.5 billion rupees. According to this, the total income of the government in 6 months is equal to 4 trillion 94 billion 84 crore rupees.

According to the data, the expenditure of the government is more than the income by the end of December.

During the period of 6 months, the expenditure of capital has been 53 billion 45 crore rupees. This is only 14.04 percent of the total expenditure target. However, current expenditure is 4 trillion 55 billion 12 billion rupees. This is 38.46 percent of the total target. This year, the government is implementing a budget equal to a total of 17 trillion 93 billion 83 billion rupees.
