The Central Bureau of Statistics has projected an economic growth rate of 5.84 percent for the current fiscal year. The statistics were made public by the department at a press conference on Thursday.
There are only three months left till the end of the fiscal year. According to the department, this is based on the fact that there will be no major impact in the remaining three months and the impact of Covid-19 will be less.
The department estimates that the economic growth rate of the primary sector, including agriculture and mining, will be 2.3 percent, the industry 10.3 percent and the service sector 5.9 percent.
