Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel have said that marketing domestic products are a crucial need of the hour.
Addressing the closing session of the industrial exhibition organized by the Federation of Nepal Cottage and Small Industries, the Finance Minister said that the ministry was already ready to cooperate with the private sector for the marketing of the small and cottage industries' products.
Saying that the fairs and exhibitions help in the publicity approach of the domestic goods, Poudel said such fairs would be also fruitful in employment generation and modernization of agricultural goods.
The 16th edition of the International Industrial Trade Fair organized by the Federation concluded on Saturday that welcomed some 250,000 visitors and businesses of around Rs 50 million.
On the occasion, Federation's Chairman Umesh Prasad Singh said the fair has helped in the promotion of domestic goods across the country while calling for the government to support the production and marketing of domestic goods.
