The process of preparing the budget for the next financial year has started. Under this, the Inland Revenue Department has requested suggestions from the general public and stakeholders for the areas related to internal revenue.
Suggestions have been requested regarding the preparation of the financial law and budget for the coming year. According to the department, stakeholders can give suggestions on income tax, value added tax, excise duty, education service fee, electronic service tax and overall tax system reform.
The department has made such a demand from organizations, government agencies, intellectuals and stakeholders. Last year, this work was done through the permanent mechanism of the Revenue Consultation Committee, but now this responsibility has again fallen on the shoulders of the Ministry of Finance. The previous government had abolished the permanent structure created for revenue consultation.
