On the occasion of the 31st Memorial Day of late Pasanglhamu Sherpa, the first Nepali woman to climb Mount Everest, her heroic contribution was remembered today. On this occasion, in a program organized this morning at the place where Pasanglhamu's statue is located in Chuchepati of Buddha, puja was recited according to Buddhist traditions by Lama Gurus. On April 22, 1993, Pasanglhamu Sherpa climbed Mt.Everest.

In the program organized today, Pasanglhamu's eldest daughter, president of Pasanglhamu Mountaineering Foundation and former ambassador to Spain, Dawaphuti Sherpa, as well as other family members and other well-wishers paid their respects.
In the same ceremony, Sherpa President presented a letter of appreciation with 75,000 rupees to Mount Everest climber Purushottam Sanu, who made a music video about Pasanglhamu Sherpa's contribution. In the same event, it was announced that the educational scholarship established in memory of the late Tendi Sherpa will be given to 20 students of Pasanglhamu Memorial College.
A blood donation program was organized on the occasion of Memorial Day. It has been said that a film based on the biography of late Pasanglhamu Sherpa will be screened for free from the film hall of KL Tower and Civil Mall in Chabahil on Wednesday.
