During the checking conducted at Jagati in Bhaktapur, the traffic police arrested 4 drivers who were driving under the influence of drugs.
All the four arrested persons have been kept in police custody for necessary investigation and action.
With the technical support of Nepal Police Hospital, the joint team of Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, Narcotics Control Bureau and Police Circle Jagadi checked the drivers of 25 vehicles and found 4 people driving the vehicles under the influence of drugs.
Senior Superintendent of Police Rajendra Prasad Bhatta, Spokesperson of Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office Ramshahpath has also requested the drivers not to drive vehicles under the influence of narcotic drugs as drug consumption changes the physical and mental condition of the user as well as driving a vehicle while consuming it.
