Mayor Shah's proposal in the executive meeting

 Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Balendra Shah  has answered the question of the ward chairpersons in the second executive meeting of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC).

In the previous meeting, the ward chairpersons criticized the Mayor for learning about the parliamentary system. The ward chairpersons have presented inquiries and suggestions regarding drinking water, roads, cooperation with telecom, flood, sewage and waste management. 

Mayor Shah has proposed to have at least five feet soak pit in every house and reverse boring in every ward to solve the problem of flooding system in the road.

He said that he will work in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation from now on.

In the executive meeting, the ward chairpersons had demanded to increase the municipal police in the ward. He replied that from now on, one can call the Municipal Police Chief directly.

During the meeting, Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol said that the meeting was positive and that the meeting should be held with prior preparation. The second executive meeting of KMC has formed 12 thematic committees. A 12-thematic committee including revenue advisory committee and judicial committee has been formed under the convener of the deputy mayor.

A meeting of the coordinators of 12 thematic committees is scheduled to be held today.
