A scooter driver was killed and a passenger was seriously injured when a tipper hit them at Madhyapur Thimi Char Dobato under Araniko Highway section.
32-year-old Gyanendra Malla Thakuri of Jhaukhel Thakurigaun in Changunarayan Municipality-3 was coming from Gattaghar towards Naya Thimi when a tipper which was heading towards Korean Hospital from Nayanthimi at Chardobato Chowk of Madhyapur ThimiMunicipality-4 hit him.
Raju Pandey, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Metropolitan Police Complex, Bhaktapur informed the passenger, 33-year-old Bimal Shrestha, a resident of Chaukunarayan Municipality-3, Jhaukhel, is undergoing treatment at Madhyapur Hospital.
Driver of the tipper, Tul Bahadur Sapkota, 36, of Siddhikali in Madhyapurthimi-7, and the vehicles involved in the accident has been kept under police control.
