Two thousand 389 drivers who violated the traffic rules have been punished by the traffic police from different places in Kathmandu Valley.
Among them, 140 people who park on the pavement, 118 people who drive under the influence of alcohol, 94 people who drive vehicles at high speed, 91 people who pick up and drop off passengers randomly, 80 people who violate the road lane, 82 people who drive with the door open, 82 people who violate the red light.
There are 71 people, 32 people who drive vehicles that are not in good condition and 25 people who have more passengers than their capacity.
