Minister for Culture, Tourism and Aviation, Sudan Kirati, visited the ongoing photo exhibition at RSS central office on Wednesday.
Observing the photos kept on display, Minister Kirati shared that he got a feeling of a nationwide tour, seeing the photos. The exhibition named 'Our Culture: Our Heritage' is organized on the occasion of Republic Day, 2080.
The exhibition has reflected social and cultural specificities of Nepal, he viewed, adding that it is laudable work of RSS, which needs continuity.
During the inspection, Executive Chairman of RSS, Dharmendra Jha, presented Minister Kirati a token of love. High level officials including General Manager Siddharaj Rai welcomed Minister Kirati at RSS.
On the occasion, the Minister also inspected various sections of RSS as news reporting, editing (Nepali, English, and International), and photo service.
RSS Chairman Jha informed Minister Kirati about the current status including news service and future plans of RSS.
The exhibition going on for a week was inaugurated by Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma, amidst a function.
The show runs from 7:00am to 7:00pm every day.
On Wednesday itself, former Minister for Communications and the CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Surendra Bahadur Karki and Lalitpur Metropolitan City's Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan observed the exhibition.
A total of 77 photos on religion, culture and society are put on display.
Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari also visited the show two days back and appreciated the RSS work.
Similarly, the RSS witnessed the visitors, including Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shretha, and Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supply, Ramesh Rijal on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the RSS has decided to continue the photo display till June 6.
