At the invitation of Minister for Health and Population Virodh Khatiwada, Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Dr. Tedros Adhanom Gebrias is scheduled to visit Nepal from 21st to the 23rd of April this year.
The Director General will be accompanied by Dr. Poonam Khetrapal, Regional Director, WHO Southeast Asia Regional Office, and other WHO officials, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Dr. Tedros is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on President Bidhyadevi Bhandari, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and National Assembly Speaker Ganesh Prasad Timilsina. He will also meet Foreign Minister Dr Narayan Khadka and Health and Population Minister Khatiwada.
