Since the number of fatalities due to the coronavirus has been rising in Kathmandu, people have been compelled to cremate their near and dear ones on the banks of the Bagmati River in Pashupati. Patients who pass away due to the COVID-19 are supposed to be cremated in the electric crematorium. However, since the electric crematorium has not been able to bear the load of the number of bodies being brought on a daily basis, the Nepal Army has been doing the needful on the banks of the Bagmati River.
