Liver transplant for the first time by a team of Nepali doctors

At Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital Maharajgunj, a team of Nepali doctors has successfully performed a liver transplant for the first time. Even though liver transplantation started in Nepal 8 years ago, foreign doctors had to come for transplantation. Liver transplant led by Professor Dr Ramesh Singh Bhandari. They had transplanted the liver of the patient's wife to a 41-year-old patient from Nuwakot. According to Professor Dr. Bhandari, the liver transplant patient and his wife have been discharged today.
