Press Council Nepal provides financial assistance to journalists in Dhankuta

Press Council Nepal has provided financial assistance to a journalist in the Dhankuta district undergoing treatment for brain-related complications.

Santosh Subedi, who is currently working with an online news portal- Sangalo Khabar-was provided with Rs 15,000 for his treatment.

Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS)'s General Manager Siddha Raj Rai handed over the cheque bearing the amount to journalist Subedi on Monday.

The cheque was handed over in the presence of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Dhankuta chapter Chairperson Nagendra Rai and FNJ central member Sarita Baraili.

RSS GM Rai read out the Council's message of best wishes to journalist Subedi for his good health. 

On the occasion, Rai donated over two dozen books to the library being established by the FNJ Dhankuta chapter.
