The identities of the five people who died when the taxi coming from Kathmandu towards Gorkha fell into the river in Trishuli have been revealed. One person is missing after the accident.
According to the police, taxi driver Arjun Sirmal, 35, of Gorkha Municipality-7, Harimaya Rokaya, 41, Junkiri Rokaya, 70, Anjana Rokaya, 28, and a nine-year-old boy, Agaman Nagarkoti, died. Eighteen-year-old Dibas Rokaya is missing.
The accident took place near Simaldhara on Prithvi Highway in Ichchakamana Rural Municipality-5 of Chitwan at 7:15 this morning.
Police shared that the taxi (Ba 2 Ja 4196) heading to Gorkha from Kathmandu fell some 80 metres off the road in the river.
