Chitwan Night Park has intensified the work of grassland management for the migration of wild animals. This year, the park has started the construction of new grassland in an area of 50 hectares.

Ganesh Prasad Tiwari, information officer of the park, informed that the grassland management and construction work is currently underway in the Tamortal area of the park under the national park and conservation reservation project.

According to him, grassland management and construction work has started in an area of 225 hectares under this project. Tiwari said that Rs 33 lakh 75 thousand has been allocated for grass field management and Rs 35 lakh for new construction. He said that he was stuck with a very low amount and said that the grassland management work is being done in the western region.

Grassland management is being done in Lamital, Sukhibhar, Bhimle and other areas of the park. He also informed that under the Tarai land perimeter program, grassland management work of 100 hectares area is also going on. A budget of Rs.15 lakh has been allocated for this.

The large grasses in the park's grasslands are being cut and managed and new areas are being cut and constructed. As soon as the grassland management work in the western region is completed, work will be started in the eastern region. Tiwari said that in the eastern region, the National Nature Conservation Fund is currently working on grassland management with permission.

10 percent of the park is grassland. With grassland management, the number of food animals will increase and the number of animals going to human settlements will decrease. The park expects that grassland management will also reduce conflicts between humans and wild animals.
