Compensation to families cheated in foreign employment

Compensation of Rs. 252.57 million has been provided to the affected families with the help of an organization in Hetauda.

The amount has been provided in collaboration with Helvitas Nepal with the help of the Secure Immigration Resource Center in Hetauda, ​​Makwanpur. The amount has been paid to the families of those who died while going for foreign employment and the amount that is left to be recovered from the fraud and foreign employer companies.

According to Anjita Thapa Magar, coordinator of Helvitas Nepal's Safe Immigration Sami Project, the compensation was provided with the help of the center after a long initiative. The center had registered 50 cases of fraud, 25 cases of rescue and 28 cases of death. The project is being implemented at the local level in partnership with the Integrated Rural Development Services.
