Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Purna Bahadur Khadka has said cooperation among political parties is needed on development and construction works.
"We have made a commitment to the people during the elections. Political parties should be responsible to meet those commitments," Khadka said on Sunday while addressing a programme in Surkhet. "Development construction is people's property. Political parties and politicians should cooperate and coordinate while carrying out these works," the Deputy Prime Minister added.
Likewise, Khadka provided the land ownership certificates to the landless people at Bheriganga Municipality-8 in Surkhet district on Sunday itself.
On the occasion, he said that the landless people were getting land ownership certificates from the National Land Commission. The government has a target that no citizen will be left landless, he said, adding that the three layers of government are working to distribute the land ownership certificates at the earliest possible time.
Likewise, Deputy Prime Minister Khadka inaugurated the Anpdhara Drinking Water Project at Bheriganga Municipality-10 and promised to ensure safe drinking water to every citizen.
