Country experiences rainfall due to influence of westerly low pressure system

The country is now experiencing cloudy weather and rainfall due to influence of Westerly low pressure system coupled with local wind.

Meteorologist at the Meteorological Forecasting Division, Rojan Lamichhane, said rainfall is now taking place at some places of Sudurpaschim Province, Gandaki province and Koshi Province.

Llight rainfall has been predicted in Kathmandu Valley in the afternoon. Rainfall is now taking place due to pre-monsoon activities and influence of Westerly low pressure system accompanied with local wind.

The sky of Koshi province, Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province has remained generally cloudy while there is a possibility of light rainfall with thunder and lightning at some places of hilly areas today.

Same type of weather system will persist in the night. There is a possibility of thunderstorm in Tarai areas, according to the Division.
