Culture invaluable asset: CM Rai

Chief Minister of Province-1, Rajendra Kumar Rai, has said culture is an invaluable asset of the country, so we need to preserve it.

Addressing a 'lakhe dance' function organized at Shadananda-11 on Saturday, CM Rai viewed the state should play an important role to preserve the culture and cultural festivals marked by various communities across the country. Culture is the collective property, he stressed.

"Even the people from diverse communities can work in unison for the promotion of cultural values," he said, urging for unity among diversity. CM Rai also played dholak, elating the local revellers on the occasion.

On the occasion, the Mayor of Shadanand Municipality, Surendra Kumar Udas, also participated in the lake dance, playing dholak. This municipality is the home town of CM Rai.
