The earthquake was centered around Kalika in Humla. According to the National Earthquake Measurement and Research Center Lanchaur, an earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale occurred today at 11:17 a.m. with its epicenter around Kalika in Humla.
In recent times, earthquakes continue to occur in the eastern and western Himalayan and mountainous regions of Nepal. Himalayan and hilly areas of Nepal are considered as earthquake risk areas.
