Government employees’ get salary hike 15 percent

Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has announced a 15 per cent hike in government employees’ salaries from the new fiscal year.

Releasing the annual budget for the fiscal year 2022/023 in the Federal Parliament, Finance Minister Sharma said the salary of civil servants, army personnel, police personnel, teachers and all other government employees is being increased by continuing the dearness allowances to maintain their sense of service while encouraging them.

The new salary level will come into force from the beginning of the new fiscal year.

In the annual budget, the Federal Civil Service Act would be brought, administrative costs would be reduced, administrative restructuring would be done and good governance and effective service delivery would be ensured.
