Government focused on good governance, social justice: PM Dahal

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the government's performance is centred on the establishment and promotion of good governance, prosperity and social justice.

In his replies to questions from the lawmakers in the House of Representatives (HoR) session today, the Prime Minister said the government is committed to increasing people's access to public service and accelerating the development endeavours.

Sustainable and inclusive economic growth is one of the top priorities of the government and its activities are centred on the same, according to the Prime Minister who claimed that the government's measures have been able to drive the economy towards a positive direction.

As he said, positive indicators have been noticed in the economy. The Central Bank just on Monday revised the current capital loans guidelines and it is expected to have positive implications on the industrial sector.

He apprised the meeting that his upcoming visit to China would be significant in terms of further promoting bilateral cooperation, strengthening the economic ties and opening new transits between the two neighbours.

In another question, he said, a decision regarding the expansion and development of the capital of Sudurpaschim Province would be taken after discussing with the stakeholders concerned and added that the government had fully mobilised its mechanism to accelerate projects of nation's pride. The HoR session continues. ---
