Illegitimate pressure from own people: Minister Kiranti

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Sudan Kiranti has expressed his displeasure saying that 'his own people' were piling illegitimate pressure on him while he was active to eliminate anomalies plaguing the country.

Unveiling a book titled 'Buddhist pilgrimages in Nepal' here Monday, Minister Kirati clarified that he would rather resign than betraying the country.

Kirati argued, "The leadership of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who had been breaking down the siege conspired against him, is equally necessary for achieving prosperity for the country like in the past to flight."

The book written by Geshe Thubten Sherab is in both Nepali and Tibetan languages. The book is divided into three sections is jointly published by Lumbini Buddhist University and Nepal Buddhist Mahayana Centre in Kapan.

The book featuring various pilgrimages of various Buddhist faiths was launched in the presence of Buddhist religious gurus following Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana.

On the occasion, Prof. Sumanta Raj Neupane of Lumbini Buddhist University and International Buddhist Academy's Khenpo Dr Ngawang Jorden made their critical comments on the newly-launched book.
