Landslide obstructs vehicles

Long-distance vehicles going to various districts of the country from Kathmandu's New Bus Park, Kalanki, Gaushala and Bhaktapur have been stopped due to landslides at various places in Dhading and Chitwan. Once the blocked road is opened, the vehicles will come into operation.

Traffic has been completely blocked since last night due to landslides at various places in the Narayangadh Muglin road section of Chitwan. A landslide has occurred between Bridge No. 2 and No. 3 located in Ward No. 6 of Kerabari Maurikhola, 17 Kilo of Bharatpur Metropolitan Municipality and Ichchakamana Rural Municipality. Because of this, the traffic has been stopped since last night and the work of removing the landslide is going on, according to the District Police Office Chitwan. There is a long queue of vehicles that have been stopped since night.

Landslides occurred in Udaipur and Masryangdi Rural Municipality in Kavrevir of Lamjung's Weshishahar Municipality this morning. Because of this, vehicles going to Manang through Lamjung have stopped. Traffic has also been blocked due to a landslide in Benighat Rorang rural municipality 10 Tingrang mine of Dhading under Prithvi Lokmarg this morning. Efforts are being made to remove the landslide that fell at 3 am today. The landslide that occurred last night near the construction tunnel located in Dhuniweshi Municipality 9 of Dhading has been ruled out. As the landslides have been removed, vehicles have started moving in one lane. Efforts are being made to remove the landslide completely and bring the vehicles into operation in both directions.
