Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba expressed good health, longevity, and prosperity to all Nepalis on the occasion of Sonam Losar and Gyalbo Losar today.
Sonam Losar is celebrated by Tamang community and Gyalbo Losar by the people in the mountainous region as the New Year.
Extending the message of best wishes, President Deuba said although Nepal is a country with diverse religions, cultures, and communities, every ethnic group has its own distinct identity. Religious and cultural tolerance has fostered respect and dignity among Nepalis, he added.
He wished the festivals inspired everyone to work for peace, prosperity, and happiness in the country.
