A person died in a clash over the land plot issue in Gadhimai Municipality, Rautahat on Saturday.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Bir Bahadur Budhamagar of Rautahat said that local Raj Kumar Raya Yadav died in the shooting following a dispute over the land.
Injured Yadav died on the way to hospital in Birgunj, SP Budhamagar said.
Police have been investigating who opened the fire. Police have held five persons suspected of their involvement in the firing.
Likewise, local residents Ram Pratap Yadav, Kapildev Raya Yadav and Niranjan Yadav have sustained injuries.
