Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has directed the ministry secretaries to make effective and result-oriented ministry works.

During a discussion held with the secretaries at his office on Tuesday, PM Dahal directed the secretaries to make effective the project works running under their ministries, according to Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma.

PM Dahal sought a briefing from the secretaries on whether the government activities were making progress as per the announcement PM made in the parliament and after assuming office. "After assuming the office, PM Dahal had directed the secretaries to submit the integrated work plan," Minister Sharma reminded during the press meeting organized to share the Cabinet decisions on Tuesday.

The discussion was also attended by the Deputy Prime Ministers, ministers, and officials of the National Planning Commission. The PM's direction stressed the implementation of plans keeping in mind the forthcoming budget and making timetables accordingly.

It was reiterated in the discussion that such meetings could be continued in the days to come to dispel the difference and uncertainty that surfaced between the political mechanism and administrative mechanisms.

PM Dahal had directed the concerned ministry secretary to manage well the distribution of passports. He, however, reminded me that there were still complaints about it.

In response to a media query, Minister Sharma informed that Cabinet had discussed on bringing bills to make parliament active and effective.
