Pokhara Plane crash: One more body brought

One more body was brought from Pokhara, undergoing examination at the Tribhuwan University Hospital.

The body of one more person who died in the accident of Yeti Airlines Nine N-ANC-ATR-72-500 flying from Kathmandu to Pokhara on Sunday 1st of January has been brought to Kathmandu today.

On Tuesday, 48 bodies were brought to Kathmandu by two helicopters of the Nepali Army. A body found on Tuesday was brought to Kathmandu this afternoon. The body brought to Kathmandu is being tested at Tribhuvan Teaching Hospital Maharajganj since this morning.

Yeti Airlines said that 12 of the dead bodies brought to Kathmandu on Tuesday have been tested so far. Of those who died in the accident, 22 bodies were examined and handed over to Pokhara, but the remaining 49 bodies were brought to Kathmandu.

According to the airline, 21 bodies brought to Kathmandu will be examined and handed over to the families of the deceased tomorrow morning. If the body is not identified, a DNA test will be done and the body will be handed over to the family of the deceased.

A total of 72 passengers, including the crew members, died in the plane crash, while the search for the remaining one is still ongoing.
