Police activism to stop illegal activities in border areas

Banke Police has been active in curbing illegal activities in the Nepal-India border area. According to Shyam Krishna Adhikari, Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Banke Police has been able to collect Rs 3,626,000. 

According to him, the police have arrested 27 people for smuggling customs and seven people for illegally importing broiler chickens, chickens, meat, and fish from India during the period. Apart from customs smuggling, the police are also stepping up their activities to curb other illegal transactions. Police have arrested two persons for gold smuggling, 61 persons for gambling, 20 thousand 535 vehicles for violating traffic rules, and 17 persons for vehicle theft, said the Superintendent of Police.

In the last six months, Banke police have collected Rs. 436,26,608 from customs smuggling, According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhusudan Neupane, Rs. 31.397 million has been collected from gold smugglers,

A total of Rs. 9,51,610 was recovered from gambling, Rs. 6,53,900 from timber smuggling, Rs. 2 million from unquarantined chicken and fish meat. He says. The police had collected Rs. 27.53 million in this period last year.
