President’s Office sends written response to Supreme Court

The President’s Office has also submitted a written reply to the Supreme Court. The written reply was in response to the hearing that has been started on the writ petitions filed against the Dissolution of the House of Representatives and the announcement of mid-term elections.

The response from the President’s Office mentions that since the claims submitted by both the parties did not hold ground the House of Representatives was dissolved.

Earlier today, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had also submitted his written reply to the Supreme Court in which PM Oli had mentioned that the court did not have the right to appoint the prime minister of the country and that it was the sole responsibility of the president of the country.
