A man was killed when the police opened fire to contain a tense situation that followed a clash between the police and local people, said Home Secretary Binod Prakash Singh, adding that the clash flared up when a group of people tried to capture filled ballot boxes. Sanjib Aidi died on the spot. Some others including police personnel were injured in the incident, it has been said.
