Senior journalist Jha receives award

This year's 'Subodh Singh Memorial Journalism Award' has been presented to senior journalist and political analyst Chandra Kishore Jha.

The award established in commemoration of photo journalist Subodh Singh carries a purse of Rs 51,000 and it was conferred on Jha amidst a programme here Friday.

It was presented on the occasion of the 37th anniversary of the Birgunj-based Prateek daily in the presence of Birgunj Metropolis Mayor Rajesh Man Singh. The Mayor announced that the local government would contribute to increasing the fund for the award.
