Three people were arrested with 14 gm of heroin from Sunbarshi Municipality-8 in Morang district on Monday evening.
The arrested have been identified as Lalit Chaudhary (35), a resident of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan-7 in Sunsari district, Mahesh Chaudhary (20), and Samir Chaudhary (19), both residents of Kanepokhari Rural Municipality-7 in Morang district.
They were riding on a motorcycle with vehicle registration PRA 1-02-045 PA 3973. Rangeli-based Area Police Office personnel nabbed them with the substances during a routine vehicle check.
Meanwhile, two youths were apprehended with illegal pharmaceutical drugs from Bishwokarma Chowk in Sunbarshi Municipality-8. They had been possessing 10 tablets of dizilab, 10 units of phenergan, 10 pieces of Ipel, and 20 units of tramol.
The arrested have been identified as Prakash Limbu (25) and Bimal Tamang (20), both residents of Pathari in Sanischare Municipality-4.
Rangeli-based Area Police Office nabbed them with the substances during a routine vehicle check. They were riding on a motorcycle with vehicle registration number KO 4 PA 9180.
Similarly, police arrested a man in possession of 25 100 ml bottles of dialex DC, 435 nitravet tablets, 144 spasmo proxivin from Dipu Chowk in Sundarharaicha Municipality-5.
The arrested has been identified as Gopal BK (26), a local resident of Namuna Tole in Sundarharaicha Municipality-5.
BK was allegedly peddling the drugs. Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Belbari-based Area Police nabbed him with the substances.
Further investigation into the case is underway, informed the police.
