Upadhyaya Named VC of Sudurpaschim Planning Commission

Former Secretary Anup Kumar Upadhyaya has been appointed as the Vice Chairperson of Planning Commission of Sudurpaschim Province.

Upadhyaya has been appointed as the vice-chair of the Provincial Policy and Planning Commission as per the decision of the Sudurpaschim Council of Ministers, said Dhirendra Shahi, chief private secretary of the chief minister.

A permanent resident of Khatyadi village of Bogtanfutshil Rural Municipality in Doti district, Upadhyay served at the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation. He is also the former chair of Nepal Electricity Authority.

 He will replace Mohandev Bista as new vice-chair of the commission.
