Five people were killed in a jeep accident in Duli, Bamfikot Rural Municipality of Rukum West today. 5 people died in an accident in a jeep traveling from Saniveri Rural Municipality, Hashu to the headquarters of Khalanga via Melchaur.
According to District Police Office Rukum West, five people including a 22-day-old baby and mother died in the accident. It is said that the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. 10 other people were injured in the accident. The seriously injured were taken to Nepalgunj by helicopter.
The police said that 5 other minor injuries were taken to the Rukum West for treatment. The jeep carrying 15 people fell 400 meters down the road. It is said that the Jeep brake failed and the accident occurred.
