The Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) has convened a meeting of the Central Committee on February 20. The meeting was convened to discuss current political issues, party office bearers, standing committee, nomination of politburo, and central members.
According to Central Office Secretary Shree Ram Dhakal, the meeting is scheduled for February 20 & 21. The UCPN (M), which held its eighth general convention last December, has not selected the office bearers even though it has fixed the number of chairpersons and central committee. It is said that an agenda has been set in the meeting to discuss current political issues of the country, local level elections, and other issues.
