The Prime Minister of Nepal, Mr. Pushpa Kamal Dahal being received by the Union Minister for External Affairs, Smt. Sushma Swaraj, on his arrival, in New Delhi on September 15, 2016.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the political transformation of the country could not have arrived at this height if the revolutionary women had not made tremendous sacrifices.

Addressing the first meeting of the national council and statute conference of the All Nepal Women Association (Revolutionary) in Kathmandu on Sunday, the PM and Maoist Centre's Chairman Dahal said that women's role was decisive in the People's War and People's Movement.

Likewise, the PM called for broader unity of the revolutionary women to further empower people by institutionalizing the federal democratic republic which was founded on the groundwork of the people's revolution. Saying that working-class women were the torchbearers of the country's massive political transformation, PM Dahal argued that the Maoist party would regain its strength in 2008 if all the Maoist revolutionaries were united.

Addressing the event, Maoist Centre's leader Janardan Sharma said that the party's sister organizations should be mobilized for the cause of the people by making their policies and programs accordingly. He argued to make the sharp and functional team in the organization.

General Secretary Dev Prasad Gurung, Vice-Chairperson Pampha Bhusal, All Nepal Women Association (Revolutionary) Chairperson Amrita Thapa Magar, and others expressed their views on the women's movement and its positive impacts on the society and communist movement.
