RPP manifesto: Envisions directly-elected Prime Minister

The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has unveiled its election manifesto that envisions a directly-elected prime minister by the people.

The manifesto also mentions that a person who cannot serve more than two terms as party chairman and executive positions such as prime minister.

In the election manifesto for the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assembly, issues such as abolition of provinces, strengthening of the federal and local levels, and abolition of the provincial structure have been proposed.

RPP has also said that the assets of high-ranking leaders and employees occupying crucial positions after 2046 BS should be investigated and illegal assets should be confiscated, corruption-free and transparent governance should be implemented in practice.

The RPP has expressed its commitment to amend the law related to political parties to ensure that a person can serve only two terms as the president of any party.

It has vowed to never impose ‘Nepal Banda’.

In addition, the RPP has also mentioned that strikes will be completely banned in various industrial sectors including health, aviation, water supply, electricity, gas and petroleum products transportation and distribution.
