12 medals for Nepal in Thailand Open Karate

In the Thailand Open Karate Championship, Nepal has won 12 medals including bronze for seniors. Nepal has won 12 medals in junior and cadet categories, including one bronze in the senior category.

In the competition held from September 6 to 10, Nima Tamang won bronze for Nepal in the senior category in 55 kg. Similarly, Manil Shrestha won gold in the U-12 35 kg weight group and Sanyuna Magar in the 40 kg group.

On the junior side, Rahan Javed won the silver medal in U-14 singles, Bibisha Adhikari in U-12 in 30 kg, Pralesh Maharjan in 35 kg, Avidhi Vishwakarma in 40 kg, Kavir Sharma Choulagai in 45 kg and Suman Malla won bronze medal in 45 kg.

Similarly, Ujin Pandit Chhetri won bronze in the junior 76 kg category, Hardik Thapalia won the silver medal in the cadet men's 70 kg category and Jisam Lungeli won the bronze medal.

Coach Mandekaji Shrestha informed that the performance of Nepali players in the competition was satisfactory. Coach Mande is also a double gold medalist in the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) held in Nepal.
