Anish Thapa Magar of Gandaki province has won the gold medal in men's marathon under the 9th National Games. 32-year-old Anish from Parbat has won gold for the first time in the marathon at the National Games.
Krishna Basnet of Nepal Army Club won silver and Santosh Vikram Bista of APF won bronze.
Anish said that he was happy to win the gold at his home ground. He said that the Pokhara route is also good.
Anish is working in Indian Army. He competed in the 10,000 meters race in the 8th National Games.
