National Boxing team leaves for India

The boxing team has left for India's Punjab for the preparation and friendly competition of the 19th Asian Games to be held in Hangzhou, China. 13 players are going to India for further preparation.

The men are Rabin Thapa in 51 kg, Buddha Gyamjo Lama in 57 kg, Bhupendra Thapa in 63.5 kg, Dipesh Lama in 71 kg, Deepak Shrestha in 80 kg, Rabin Nepal in 92 kg and Ashish Duwadi in 92 kg.

For women, there are Sushma Tamang in 50 kg, Minu Gurung in 54 kg, Chandrakala Thapa in 57 kg, Sangita Sunar in 60 kg, Vinita Thapa Magar in 66 kg and Saraswati Rana in 75 kg.

According to the Nepal Boxing Association, the players will be training at the Punjab Institution of Sports Patiala from July 27 to August 27 and will also participate in friendly competitions.
