Nepali female boxer Sushma Tamang awarded

Nepali boxer Sushma Tamang, who won the silver medal in the ASBC Asian U-22 Boxing Championship held in Thailand, will receive 6 lakhs from the government.

She bagged silver in women's 48 kg weight group. In the final, Sushma was defeated by Uzbekistan's Fojilova Farzona. Before that, she defeated players from Vietnam and Mongolia and reached the finals.

This is the first time that Nepal has won silver in the recognized competition of the Asian Boxing Confederation.

According to the National Sports Development Regulations, cash prizes have been arranged for players and coaches who win medals in various international competitions.
