CAAN congratulates Yeti Airlines on its 25th year of achievement

Yeti Airlines of Nepal has been awarded by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN). On the occasion of 25 years of operation of Yeti Airlines, CAAN has honored it like this. CAAN Director General Pradeep Adhikari presented the letter of appreciation to Lhakpa Sonam Sherpa, Executive Chairman of Yeti Airlines.

The Director General Adhikari felicitated Yeti Airlines Executive Chairman Lhakpa Sonam Sherpa, Managing Director Chanda Sherpa, Deputy Managing Director Norbu Sherpa and Chief Executive Officer Anoj Rimal offering khadas.

Yeti Airlines was established in 1998 on 24th September. It made its first flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. During 25 years, this airline has been playing an important role in the field of air transportation in Nepal.

During the ceremony CAAN Director General Pradeep Adhikari said that Yeti Airlines has played a role in promoting Nepal's mountains and Tara Air, the sister airline of Yeti Airlines, is making a significant contribution to Karnali, a remote area of Nepal. He said that since such private airlines are national capital, CAAN is ready to provide necessary support to such airlines.

Accepting the honor, Executive Chairman of Yeti Airlines, Lhakpa Sonam Sherpa, informed that the goal has been taken to bring Yeti Airlines as a public company.

He informed that 25 years ago he started Yeti Airlines with 2 planes and after 2 years his brother late Angchiring Sherpa contributed to its development.

Nabina Karmacharya, Deputy Director General of CAAN, said that it should be the effort of all of us to bring safety to zero level.

CAAN's Deputy Director General Premnath Thakur made it clear that CAAN appreciates that Yeti Airlines has fought hard to reach its present state.

Jagganath Niraula, another deputy director general of CAAN, said that Yeti Airlines has successfully completed 25 years and that it should serve more citizens in the future.

CAAN Director Raju Shrestha made it clear that CAAN and the private sector are aiming to move forward with a common goal.

Yeti Airlines Chief Executive Officer Anoj Rimal said that Yeti Airlines strictly follow to safety.
