A documentary based on the life of late Pasang Lhamu Sherpa, the first Nepali woman to climb the world's highest peak, Everest, has been awarded in America.
The documentary 'In the Shadow of Everest' won the Audience Award at the Middlebury New Filmmaker Festival. At the conclusion of the 2022 awards ceremony, movie director Nancy Svendsen received the prestigious 'Teddy' award.
The documentary, which has been screened at various festivals, has won awards before.
