In Nepal's tourist locations, it has been observed that the number of domestic tourists is rising.
The tourism destination in Sindhupalchok closest to Kathmandu is the Sukute region. Halfway between Kathmandu and Kodari, in the Sindhupalchowk district, is where Sukute Beach is located. 44 km separate from Kathmandu from Sukute Beach. The distance on the road is 68.2 kilometers.
Every day, domestic tourists travel to Sukute for rafting and entertainment.
As the water of Bhote Koshi River is cleaner than Trishuli River, people come to this area for rafting. There is no crusher industry near Sukute, the river water has become clean. Most of the Nepalese do rafting in the lower section of Bhotekoshi. Foreigners come for rafting in the middle and upper sections of Bhotekoshi.
In the Trishuli River in Dhading, the water produced by the crusher industry is mixed with the river, so the water does not look clean.
Ram Tamang, the founder of Sukute Holidays Beach Resort, claims that there is no danger of rafting in Sukute Beach. He has been involved in rafting for the past 11 years. He has been active in Sukute for 5 years. River guides who are not licensed by the government of Nepal are not allowed to operate rafting there.
Arrangements have also been made to train the aspirants there.
Foreigners often go rafting in Balefi, which is considered relatively dangerous. Rafting is also done from Dolkhaghat to Sunsari's Chatara. It takes 8 to 10 days for River rafting.
Especially on Fridays and Saturdays, it is difficult to get a room in hotels in this area. There are about 10 hotels here. From sleeping in tents to deluxe AC rooms are also available in those hotels.
Jyoti Thapaliya, director of Sukute Holidays Beach Resort, says that businesses are benefiting from domestic tourists as Nepalese usually come in groups and demand different foods.
People go to Sukete for rafting in summer and campfire in winter.
