Senior tourism entrepreneur Sherpa successfully ascend Mt Everest

Lhakpa Sonam Sherpa, Nepal's senior tourism entrepreneur, climbed Mount Everest this morning. He reached the summit of Mount Everest this morning at 7:34 AM. Robert Moracchini from France has also successfully climbed Mount Everest with him. Other team members are Jangbu Sherpa, Pem Tengi Sherpa, and Pemba Sherpa.

They reached Camp 4 of Everest yesterday afternoon. They left for the peak at 8 pm yesterday.

With this success on Mount Everest, Lhakpa Shonam Sherpa has completed the successful ascent of the highest mountains of the seven continents of the world. He became the first Nepalese Climber who completed all 'real' seven summits, including Mount Carstensz's summit.

The 63-year-old Sherpa was born in Pangom, Ward No. 1, Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality, Solukhumbu.

Sherpa, who has been involved in Nepal's tourism business for 50 years, is the founding chairman of Thamserku Trekking, which has earned a reputation in the field of climbing and trekking in Nepal. Thamserku Trekking has been conducting various mountaineering expeditions for a long time and has made thousands of climbers climb the various mountains of Nepal. He is also the executive chairman of Yeti Airlines and is involved in businesses such as hotels and hydropower.

Lhakpa Sonam Sherpa is the husband of the late Pasang Lhamu Sherpa, the first Nepali woman climber of Mt. Everest.

He has previously climbed Mount Vinson (4892 m) in Antarctica, Mount Puncak/Mt Carstensz in Oceania (4884 m), Mount Elbrus (5642 m) in Europe, Mount Kilimanjaro (5895 m) in Africa, Denali (6190 m) in North America and Akonwagua (6962 m) in South America.  

Some of Sonam's mountaineering feats include climbing Europe's highest peak Mount Blanc (1983), Mount Annapurna I (1985), Mount Dhaulagiri (1986), and Mount Thamserku (1987) in Nepal.
